I have been mildly distracted
Welcome! If you have been following my culinary journey, and even if you haven’t, you can see my attention has been elsewhere and not focused on this blog. I started this blog back on 2/22/21 and so much has happened since then, some relating to food, some relating to family, some relating what state I live in. (grin)
The quick version: We packed everything and moved from Tucson, AZ to Carrabelle Florida to open Forgotten Coast Barbeque. It started off great but it didn’t work out. I ended up as the Executive Chef at a golf course restaurant that I wish I never heard of. Housing became an issue so we moved to San Antonio Texas where I have accepted the position of Cook at a leading inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury, hip fracture and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions center.
This website is meant to be more professional and focused on culinary so if you’re interested in my personal journey, more can be found on my personal blog https://davidfrancis.org/
What to expect here:
While my full time job will be preparing meals for staff and patients at the hospital, I intend to publish at least one video on YouTube per week and the associated blog post and printed recipe here. That is the minimum I intend. I have another idea I’ve been “cooking up” for years that I hope to introduce in the coming months. That is mostly for my YouTube channel but it may be here too.
I will also be working on a section of this website helping people cook for large groups. I have cooked for large groups for many years and I would like to share my experience with you. Since my current gig involves cooking for as many as 60 patients and 50 staff, I’m sure I’ll have plenty of ideas and concepts to share.
So be sure and subscribe to my YouTube channel and find me on FaceBook… this is going to be fun!
